YOGA FOR BETTER LIVING
Our body is itself a doctor. It cures diseases it self to increase its resistivity. These antibody activities can be increased by YOGA. The YOGA is a physical and breathing exercise. It is an ancient method of improving the body resistance to diseases invented by an Indian Maharishi Patanjali. He has given a theory of ASHTANG YOGA in his Granth Patanjali Yogdarshan. Yam, Niyam, Asan, Pranayam, Pratyahar, Dharana, Dhayan and Samadhi are eight parts of Yoga. Among these Asan is physical exercise and Pranayam is breathing exercise. In this modern age Maharishi Ramdev claimed to cure diseases like cancer and diabetes. There are 84 asans and several types of pranayams for effecting different part of body. Pranayam contains three part Poorak-Taking slowly breating, Kumbhak-stop the breath in lungs and Rechak-exhausting the breath slowly. All the actions are done by nose. Kapalbhati is an example of pranayam.
